J. Marvin McBride, MD, MBA, chief medical officer, came to INSPIRIS from Landacorp Inc. where he held the position of chief medical officer, guiding the company’s population health management programs. He joined Landacorp after serving as associate medical director for CIGNA Healthcare of North Carolina and medical director for WellPath Community Health Plans in Chapel Hill, NC. Prior to those positions, Dr. McBride practiced family medicine in Raleigh, NC, during which time he served as medical director of North Carolina Medical Associates and president of the medical staff of Raleigh Community Hospital. He has been involved in a number of public health policy activities, including the Governor’s Task Force on Health Objectives for the Year 2000, the Governor’s Task Force on Clinical Lead Standards and the Healthy Babies, Healthy Mother’s Coalition of Wake County. Dr. McBride earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is board-certified in family practice, recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is licensed to practice in North and South Carolina and Virginia.
